A Joyful Tinding of Christmas…
The season of Christmas around the world is a time of sharing joy, love, happiness and peace with family members, friends and well-wishers. The season of Christmas carries a message of abundance of God’s love for all humankind in the universe. As the Christmas season enters, it streams lights of joy, rings the bells of hope and sings the carols of forgiveness high up all around in the hearts of people.
››› According to the holy scripture, “The angel Gabriel said to Mary, "Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favour with God. And now, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you will name him Jesus. He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Most High, and the Lord God will give to him the throne of his ancestor David. He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end." (Lk 1: 30-33)
The scripture further tells us, “The word became flesh and dwelt among us” (Jn 1: 14)
Therefore, the Christmas season and the feast very powerfully remind us of the greatest love God has revealed for the universe. The integral purpose of Christmas is crystal clear, that we, by our faith and believing in Jesus Christ become sons and daughters of God in our life. Moreover, by realizing how much God has been lavish to us in His love, we in turn have to be loving, caring and forgiving to one another in all circumstances. St. Mother Teresa of Kolkata has rightly said, “It’s not how much we give but how much love we put into giving." So, during this Christmas let us share our joy, peace and happiness with great love for one another and proclaim through life that Jesus Christ truly dwells amongst us all.
